Ercros

The Ercros industrial site, located in Flix, is a historic and unique location within the industrial fabric of the Ribera d’Ebre, linked for over 125 years to the chemical sector and to the first factory in Spain to apply electricity to the chlorine manufacturing process. Although the factory ceased production in 2023 and demolition and soil remediation work is currently underway, the site retains high strategic value as a space for reindustrialisation and attracting new economic activity.

The availability of almost 12 hectares of unused industrial land presents a clear opportunity to drive new business projects, especially those linked to industry, chemistry, energy, the circular economy, or ancillary activities requiring established premises. Its industrial history, the accumulated knowledge in the region and the institutional will to reactivate these assets make Ercros-Flix a location with the potential to recover productive capacity and generate new opportunities in the Terres de l’Ebre.
